Isabel’s birthing center, Mediflower, has a partnership with King Kong Studio, a lovely little portrait studio in Gangnam.* As part of that deal, all newborns born at Mediflower get a little photo session in the first days after birth, and a second session on their 30th day. Isa did okay during her session; she didn’t cry or poop or anything, but she wasn’t really into keeping her eyes wide open. We’ll see how they turn out. This reminded me that Isabel’s older sister, Eva, got some lovely newborn shots taken on her fifth day of life, back in 2012. See the resemblance?

*They even have photographers who stay with moms during two-day long natural births to make images of the whole process in a documentary style. I can’t imagine having a photographer with me for that, but the photos in the sample book looked really moving.
