Isabel is on her first family vacation! The four of us joined another family of four, the Yau’s, who are also American expats, for a long weekend on Korea’s Jeju Island. The island is known as the “Hawaii of Korea” for its chill vibes, gorgeous natural scenery and its waterfalls. The kids find pleasure in free things like the pool and the beach, so we’re doing a lot of that.

Koreans are wary of too much sun, so around our hotel pool are all these tents that are set up for being out by the pool, but hiding from the sun. It was perfect for Isa to sprawl out and nap while the rest of the crew was enjoying pooltime.
