This was from last week, when the class went to Yongsan Family Park for some outside time. Note from the teachers:
“We went to Yongsan Family Park on Wednesday looking for spring signs and playing at the playground. We saw buds coming out at the end of tree branches, green grass growing, little purple flowers blossoming, and some fish swimming in the pond. As grownups we sometimes forget how much learning takes place when children are allowed to just play. They negotiated and took turns with the sand toys. They practiced scooping, digging and flipping to create sand castles. They role played future skills such as making food and drinks from sand and having the teachers enjoy their delicious creations. They built their muscle strength and got their hearts pumping as they ran after each other, climbed the play structure and went down the slides. Not to mention the health benefits of being outside.”
