Isa and her sister took their scooters recently to Dongdaemun Design Plaza, known to them as “The Spaceship.” Isa had a blast until learning that “kickboards,” as they’re known in South Korea, aren’t allowed here.

So… we walked to get lunch at a “soul food” restaurant known as Shy Bana, which serves mac & cheese (apparently fascinating to Koreans). It’s motto is “Eat Today, Diet Tomorrow.”

Isa really liked the food, especially the pasta and meatballs.
